As reported today in The New York Times, a new study shows that the diabetes drug Jardiance (empagliflozin) can reduce the risk of dying from cardiovascular disease by 38%. The drug not only reduces blood sugar levels, but also blood pressure and arterial stiffness leading to a reduced risk of heart failure.
The cost of Jardiance in the U.S. is about $350 to $400 for just 30 pills. It would be a shame if people could not get this medication due to its high cost. Fortunately, this drug is available from licensed pharmacies in other countries (where the price is controlled or negotiated) at prices which are about 70% lower than in the U.S. As shown on PharmacyChecker.com, the 10 mg dose is available from several verified international online pharmacies for about $110 a month or, better, if purchasing a 3 month supply, it’s under $300. The 25 mg dose is only a few dollars more.

In México is about 45 dollars/Month 25 Mg dose. Go south, save money! No prescription needed.
We don’t recommend buying prescription medication without a prescription.
How can I
Yes, In Hermosillo Jardinance is about $35.00 in any drug store. Now while you should not “auto medicate yourself”…just ask you doctor to give you a prescription with the words OK TO BUY IN MEXICO. Go to Benavides Pharmacy in Hermosillo !!
Don’t get ripped off and but it here. It is a ripoff – it is highway robbery !!
can it be mailed to me from mexico and wheredo i order it from thanks don
What steps do I need to do to get the medication?
You can order this medication from verified international online pharmacies listed on pharmacychecker.com: http://www.pharmacychecker.com/brand/jardiance-prices
I can’t get the doctor to give me something else, I can’t afford this, I have reach the donut hole with my insurance now I can’t get it. I’m on disability so I don’t.
Edward,
Jardiance is expensive, but as we mentioned in the article you can find it for as low as 1/3 the price at online pharmacies we have verified: http://www.pharmacychecker.com/brand/jardiance-prices. You may also qualify for programs that can help you afford your medications. Try searching for “patient assistance programs”
I was recently prescribed Jardiance and Doc’s office gave me a savings card….which turned out to be useless! It would only cover the cost of a co pay for the medication. In other words, it was only applicable to people who had insurance. So, basically it was of no help to myself. Yet another medication that can work wonders but not available at a reasonable cost in the good old U.S.A.
Hi Brian – Thanks for sharing and sorry for that experience. If you’re struggling to afford it locally then the international prices are much lower.
You can sign up for a savings card on the jardiance website. My doctor gave me the website and the first year is free.
Jardiance Savings Card can only be obtained if you are not on Medicare, Medicaid or any other government supported health coverage.
You can only get assistance on the Jardiance website if you aren’t on Medicare. People on Medicare are retired and usually have less income and take more prescriptions. This hardly seems fair. Boehringer Ingelheim Cares Foundation offers assistance, but it is very strict and doesn’t take into consideration other medications or medical expenses a patient needs.
This does not apply if you are not PRIVATELY insured. If you have Medicaid/Medicare or VA insurance, you WILL be disqualified. I just tried this.
Seems the company coupon is only good if you are NOT on medicare.
I bought 30 day supply of 10mg for US28. It works like a charm. My morning sugar reading is 200-300mg/dl. Just 1 day with Jardiance, my morning reading was 150mg/dl. Ever since then I never see the 200 range in the morning anymore. I have been taking this drug for almost 2 months now. My HbA1C has dropped 30% from a high of 13.1 in 3 months. This is just with jardiance and no other drug. I bought this in Malaysia. You could get this in Canada or Mexico. Although this drug works like a charm, you still need to have a good diet and exercise.
Just informed by my insurance company as of 2018 (Aetna) they will not cover this drug in their plan
Had to be taken off of invokana because of side effects jardiance has worked wonders with my s1c Finally reading for blood sugar down to 120 thinking of getting a new plan No explanation as to why no more pay
I’m sorry that’s happened. Hopefully these prices are worthwhile: https://www.pharmacychecker.com/brand/jardiance-prices You can also search coupons for U.S. pharmacies by scrolling to the bottom of each pricing page and typing in your zip code.
Is Jardianz the proper name for the drug in Mexico?
Hi Bob, We have verified that Jardianz is another brand name for Jardiance. It is the same active medication, but may has different labeling/packaging: https://www.boehringer-ingelheim.com/products/jardiance
how much i a prescription for 10 mg jardiance 90 day supply
Hi Connie – Compare prices for Jardiance 10mg here: https://www.pharmacychecker.com/jardiance/10+mg/?sort=cost_per_unit
I was just put on jardiance…I has taken metformin for 15 years and it was killing me. I had constant diarrhea. In 2 days in taking Jardiance, I can leave the house and haven’t one episode. NOW the problem my Medicade/Aetna will not pay and I have 100% coverage…I am so mad. To take something that does not make me sick and insurance won’t pay!!
Ask you doctor about Glipizide and if it will work for you. I was taking 5 mg and had to reduce it to 2.5 because my glucose level would drop to a very dangerous level. At that doseage low 100′ were the norm and my A1C would be 6-7. And with my ins. It is only $1 a month as opposed to $330 a month for Jardiance!
