[UPDATE: Today (July 13th, 2018), CandaDrugs.com, and other sites it owns, such as JanDrugs.com, have stopped selling medicines to patients in the U.S. in accordance with an agreement with the U.S. Attorney in Montana. Below, please read to understand why this happened. Several stories in the media are reporting that the reason is that patients bought counterfeit drugs from the online pharmacy, which is not true.
Bottom line, as I see it: a very well-run, safe, international online pharmacy was forced by the U.S. government to stop helping Americans afford prescription drugs because the pharmaceutical industry wanted that outcome.
It’s a shame and American patients struggling with prescription costs are worse off for it.]
[FIRST PUBLISHED APRIL 13, 2018]
In a plea bargain signed today with the U.S. Department of Justice, the owners of CanadaDrugs.com are forfeiting their website www.CanadaDrugs.com and other websites they operate to the U.S. government. This is an unfortunate outcome of a case that did not involve medication sales of the popular website CanadaDrugs.com, which has been safely selling medication at low cost to Americans for many years. The case involved a separate wholesale business conducted by the owners of the website. Sadly, two counterfeit batches of the cancer medication, Avastin, entered the supply chain of that wholesale business in 2011 and were sold to medical offices in the U.S. To be clear, Avastin was never sold on the CanadaDrugs.com website.
For some balance and context: in the past, CVS and CVS.com were found to be selling counterfeit Lipitor, yet this did not lead to CVS having to forfeit its website to the U.S. government.
CanadaDrugs.com had been a verified member of the PharmacyChecker Verification Program since 2005. During that time, it likely processed millions of prescriptions and filled them from licensed pharmacies in Australia, Canada, New Zealand and the United Kingdom. We have verified the licenses of these pharmacies. CanadaDrugs.com voluntarily withdrew from our program in March, aware of the pending deal with the U.S. government. The FDA recognizes that there is no urgency to shutting down CanadaDrugs.com, giving them 90 days to wind down their international retail pharmacy business. In fact, CanadaDrugs.com remains a licensed pharmacy in Manitoba, Canada.
It was necessary for the FDA to investigate and act to prevent medication from being illegally sold at a wholesale level into the U.S. The enforcement discretion used by the FDA for personal importation never extended to those who illegally import and resell medication. We at PharmacyChecker have never condoned such sales. However, the deal struck is likely to do more harm than good by shuttering a good online pharmacy that was operating safely. Making matters worse, this case has been and continues to be used by the pharmaceutical industry to fuel a campaign carried out by its front groups to scare Americans and stop them from buying lower cost, safe and effective medications from pharmacies in other countries.
Interestingly, just as the indictment in this case was slated for release in February of 2015, I sent a report to the members of congress most responsible for regulating the FDA called: “Online Pharmacies, Personal Drug Importation, and Public Health: Ill-Considered Enforcement Prevents Access to Safe and Affordable Medication.” Basically, it was my attempt to explain, with rigorous analysis and research, why shutting down the safest international online pharmacies is bad for public health. It was bad policy then and it remains so now with tens of millions of Americans not filling prescriptions each year because of cost.

I agree with you. What is the next best alternative to Canada Drugs?
Hi Eden! Via the link, you’ll find a list of the best online pharmacies with the lowest drug prices that meet critical safety standards to protect patient health when buying medication online. To visit a pharmacy listed below, click on its logo: https://www.pharmacychecker.com/online-pharmacy-ratings.asp
Are all these places that they ship from reputable?? Places like India and Turkey, for instance?? Bi
Yes, all pharmacies in the PharmacyChecker Verification Program are reputable pharmacies.
I got a mailer from MedixPharmacy in the UK which says it has all of my information from Canada Drugs–with an activation code to use to set up my new account with them. I looked at their website and did not see your PharmacyChecker logo listed among their verifications. Is this a reputable pharmacy and how did they get my information??
Thank you!
Medix brick-and-mortar pharmacy is verified by PharmacyChecker, however the website is not, therefore we are not able to assess if the Medix website satisfies PharmacyChecker’s high standards of online pharmacy practice at this time. Please contact Medix directly at 1-866-500-6633 for more information regarding the website.
I find this confusing, as I, too, just registered with Medix after receiving an e-mail from them. Are you saying the Medix website and Company are 2 separate entities?
Hi Dee, We have certain standards for the online pharmacy websites and then certain standards for the physical pharmacy. The online pharmacy (https://www.medixpharmacy.co.uk/) website has not been verified by PharmacyChecker, but it’s clear from the website itself that it is part of the same company as the brick-and-mortar Medix Pharmacy that we verify. Medix Pharmacy is licensed by the General Pharmaceutical Council in the U.K. I hope that clears things up.
I too received the Medix letter – I’ve purchased from Canada Drugs before. I have never been asked for all my surgeries – not sure about Medix… Think I’ll pass….
Lucia, I was comparing pharmacies listed on your site with those listed on CIPA. Seems like there’s some overlap, but not for all pharmacies. For instance, canadianprescriptiondrugstore.com is listed on your site but not CIPA’s.
Is there a reason I should trust your pharmacies over those verified with CIPA? Thanks in advance.
Hi there Michael, Canadian International Pharmacy Association (CIPA) membership is open to qualifying Canadian pharmacies, ones that sell medication online and work with partner pharmacies in other countries. CIPA is a trade association of Canadian pharmacies that has online pharmacy standards similar but not identical to PharmacyChecker.com.
Many—but not all—CIPA members are in the PharmacyChecker Verification Program. The converse is true as well. See PharmacyChecker’s standards for online pharmacy practice: https://cdn.pharmacychecker.com/pdf/membership_standards_and_guide_4.30.17.pdf
I also got a mailer, but it was from CanadaDrugWarehouse.com and they are also located in Canada. I dont understand this stuff about pharmacy being verified and the website is not but ultimately Im glad there are still alternatives. CDW ended up being cheaper than Medix for my advair
Pharmacy is approved by the MHRA (Medicine and Health products Registration Agency of the UK government). So the pharmacy meets the standards of the UK for prescriptions. How that applies to Canadian or US standards I do not know.
https://medicine-seller-register.mhra.gov.uk/search-registry/622
I created an account with them last summer and ordered a generic prescription. It arrived within the stated shipment timeframe. The medicine itself appears to be genuine. The cost was 20% of what I would have paid locally in the U.S, Seattle, WA.
I called Canada Drugs just 1 hour ago to find out this ugly news brought Upon Us by Donald J Trump. Don’t be fooled, his heavy, hoary hand is behind all of this, or at least his administration, his cabinet. I tried to get a price from another Canadian Pharmacy on Pharmacy Checker and it kept telling me to wait. I did but caved in after half an hour I’ll try again tomorrow
Sorry Stan, but President Obama is responsible for this. He caved to drug lobbyists to push through Obamacare. From New York Times:
WASHINGTON — After weeks of talks, drug industry lobbyists were growing nervous. To cut a deal with the White House on overhauling health care, they needed to be sure that President Obama would stop a proposal intended to bring down medicine prices.
On June 3, 2009, one of the lobbyists e-mailed Nancy-Ann DeParle, the president’s health care adviser. Ms. DeParle reassured the lobbyist. Although Mr. Obama was overseas, she wrote, she and other top officials had “made decision, based on how constructive you guys have been, to oppose importation” on a different proposal.
Trump has been in office for over a year and his party controls all three branches of government. It’s time you stopped blaming Obama for everything.
Unfortunately Nancy, a case from 2011 being decided now is still 2011. Trump did not take office until January 2017.
There just isn’t an honest way to blame him for actions taken years prior. Doing so only adds more credibility to the fake news claims and insults the intelligence of the rest of us.
No matter though, I am very sorry to see CanadaDrugs go.
To Sequina Ruby Wilson-Gonzales on June 13, 2018 at 3:25 pm
What you say doesn’t make any sense.
“Unfortunately Nancy, a case from 2011 being decided now is still 2011. Trump did not take office until January 2017.”
No, now is not 2011. Now is 2018. The case was filed in 2011 but the plea bargain with the U.S. Department of Justice was signed in 2018 and the agreement with the U.S. Attorney in Montana to stop selling medicines to patients in the U.S. was made in 2018. Trump could have dropped this case very easily (he dropped so many other cases filed by Obama) but he did not.
The case against CanadaDrugs started under the Obama administration, which was very friendly to Big Pharma. That’s a factual not a political statement. Also, this was a criminal investigation and not one that Trump could have dropped. That said, Trump’s picks to lead Health and Human Services and FDA are Big Pharma industry insiders, who are continuing if not accelerating the pro-pharma agenda to curtail personal imports of medicine. I hope that settles it between Jim and Nancy. Ending high drug prices are one thing on which we are all united! Or, feel free to keep arguing but keep it civil…
Why? Obama blamed Bush for everything his entire eight years!
Yes Nancy you need to get your info correct before bashing. All this healthcare stuff started well before Trump.
With who did Canada Drugs signed a plea bargain with on April 13, 2018? The U.S. Department of Justice that was in office on April 13, 2018.
With who did Canada Drugs agree to stop selling drugs in the US on July 13, 2018? The U.S. Attorney in Montana that was in office on June 13, 2018.
Not true. Obama care had noting to do with buying prescriptions from Canada. Get your fact correct you Trumpite liar.
Political nonsense here – neither Trump nor Obama is “to blame”. Big American Pharmaceutical companies are behind this and can we all agree to FOCUS on the true issue and fight this together please?
Well said.
Absolutely!
me too! “WELL SAID!”
you baby, quit blaming all the worlds woes on Donald. You read and listen to too much fake news
Stan, you are 100% correct. In March of 2017, Trump fired 45 U.S. Attoneys, Mike Cotter on Monatana was one of them. Trump then appointed Kurt G. Alme to be U.S. Atorney of Montana. U.S. Attorney Alme then shut down the Canada Drugs.
If you want medication from Canada then no doubt best I found was canadacloudpharmacy.com
If you want from India or somewhere else might be cheaper, just depends what your priority is. I’ve tried a bunch in the past and I only want my medication from canada.
I purchased through an online Canadian pharmacy vetted by Pharmacy Checker several years ago and my prescription always shipped from India via that pharmacy. Just an FYI.
Hey Lacey! That’s right. Online pharmacies in our program are required to disclose the location of the pharmacy dispensing the medication, so if you’re unsure, just ask.
Thank you
What is the best Canadian source for generic fexofenadine
Hi Harriet, You can compare prices for Fexofenadine among verified online pharmacies here: https://www.pharmacychecker.com/generic/fexofenadine-prices
How can I get Canadian drugs? Canada drugs was great. I trusted them and they never failed me. Please call 212 757 5418. Thanks, Bill
Hi William, Here’s a list of verified online pharmacies with the lowest drug prices that meet critical safety standards to protect patient health when buying medication online: https://www.pharmacychecker.com/online-pharmacy-ratings.asp
Canada drug sold fake cancer drugs. The company was shut down. It was not political. Grow up.
Drugmart.com is mailing letters to some former customers of CanadaDrugs.com. The letter shows the “PharmacyChecker.com” seal of approval, yet they are NOT listed on the PharmacyChecker website as a “verified” online pharmacy. Also, PharmacyChecker.com encourages users to verify the legitimacy of PharmacyChecker.com “Verification Program” seals when researching online pharmacy sites. To verify that the seal is legitimate, simply click on it. A genuine seal will link you to that pharmacy’s profile on the PharmacyChecker.com website. When I clicked the PharmacyChecker seal on the Drugmart website it went to the PharmacyChecker website, but to a screen that read “This Page Could Not Be Found” (referring to the profile not being found).
Canada drug . com was my pharmacy for many years, totally reliable!! j please send me info for another reliable pharmacy there asap! j
This case does not apply to all Canadian online pharmacies, just CanadaDrugs.com and other websites it may operate. For future medication orders, you can consult our list of current PharmacyChecker verified international online pharmacies https://www.pharmacychecker.com/online-pharmacy-ratings/. Also look up your medication by name to compare prices across verified international online pharmacies.
So scary. I have been getting 3 scripts from Canada drugs that I could not afford here in Texas. One is an inhaler that I need for asthma. It costs me $157/mo here in Texas & $157 for 3 mo in Canada. Big pharm is killing us that are on Social Security.
Hold on. There are other sites available. I have ordered from India and Thailand. The meds are fine. My steroid inhaler sells for about $50.00. In U.S $300.00 at Rite Aid. Big pharma runnning a scam , wont allow generics here. Overseas, they have generics. Generics are fine.
Stick to this list of the best verified online pharmacies with the lowest drug prices that meet critical safety standards to protect patient health when buying medication online: https://www.pharmacychecker.com/online-pharmacy-ratings.asp
JoAnn, i just made a post about the same thing that happened to me. I found https://www.canadadrugwarehouse.com/ You will get better prices. I have asthma too and the inhalers cost me $60 for 3 months. I hope this helps you
I am paying $300/mo for meds in US – $300 for 3 mos at Canada Drugs. That $200/mo is important to me!
Through CanadaDrug I was/ am till July, paying $227 for three month supply which would cost me $2700 for three months as it is not covered by ExpressScripts, my health provider online pharmacy. I will find another provider through ParmacyChecker. Boo to Justice Dept for CVS v. CanadaDrug treatment.
My husband and I have been satisfied customers of Canada Drugs for 10 years. One of my medications will cost me $300 for 3 months at CVS but I get the generic which is not available in the US for $129 for 3 months supply from Canada Drugs. Never had a problem with their meds so their closing is very upsetting to me. I agree with the above person’s statement—-drug companies in the US are killing those of us on Social Security.
When will the the people we elect to represent us in the government do their jobs and take a stand against the overpricing of drugs and medical care in this country. The whole word knows that we pay the most for drugs that are prescribed to us. If we were treated fairly we wouldn’t have to buy from other countries! It would be quite the joke if it wasn’t on us. The only way I can afford my medications is by purchasing from outside the US. The department of justice needs to investigate the real criminals BIG PHARMA
Unlike Stan the Man above who blamed President Trump, enough though this suit has been in the works for years, it was President Obama who pushed this idiotic action, anything to make Americans more dependent on his idea of government. In fact, President Trump is leaning on big pharma and trying to get drug costs down. (So sad that my beloved Cardinals team has a fool who uses the screen name of the greatest Cardinals player of all time.)
Hi Carl –
You are correct that under the Obama administration big pharma got its way because Obama dropped his initial support for importation and the FDA began unnecessary enforcement actions that curtail access to buying lower cost medications in Canada and other countries. However, in all fairness, President Trump has allowed Obama’s policies to continue and they may be getting worse. See https://pharmacycheckerblog.com/fda-pharmacy-storefronts-florida. Also, Trump supported importation during his campaign but has abandoned the idea. His pick for Secretary of Health and Human Services, Alex Azar, was president of Eli Lilly USA, a Big Pharma executive if ever there was one.
I just used Canada Drug for a script that was going to cost me over 900 dollars (3 months) for the brand name which Express Scripts denied me. My doctor requested that I needed the brand name but I guess Express Scripts thought they knew more than my Rheumatology doctor. I am able to receive the brand name drug for $152.68 (3 months);. There is something not right….I wonder whose pockets are being lined. Thank you Canada Drug for helping me.

So Canada Drugs is being shut down, but I see a CanadaDrugsDirect.com site. Are they one in the same? Or if different is CanadaDrugsDirect legit and reputable?
Verified online pharmacies display the PharmacyChecker seal on their websites. CanadaDrugsDirect.com is NOT a PharmacyChecker-verified online pharmacy. We recommend you only use those pharmacies vetted by PharmacyChecker.com: https://www.pharmacychecker.com/online-pharmacy-ratings.asp
This is sad. I use Canada Drugs. Now I have to find another company. If there is one.
Hi Anne– Here you’ll find a list of the best online pharmacies with the lowest drug prices that meet critical safety standards to protect patient health when buying medication online: https://www.pharmacychecker.com/online-pharmacy-ratings.asp
There are other sites, you have to seek them out.
Canada Drugs (which I have used for years at HALF the cost) are a victim of big pharma in America. Rather than sell our meds at a reasonable price they chose to ride the CEO riches on the backs of Americans. It is a travesty that we the people are like lambs to slaughter and allow these type of things to happen. How can your government tell you where you should buy your much needed medication when the inflated prices in the US are criminal. Big pharma should be indited NOT Canada Drugs. Our government structure is oppressive to the people who pay the salaries of those who sit on their thrones and DICTATE…..not govern!
If they remain a licensed pharmacy, can we not mail/fax them our prescriptions?
On July 13, 2018, CanadaDrugs.com will ship the last orders for their patients and discontinue shipping into the United States.
I have used Canada Drugs over the years for asthma inhalers. Big pharmais running a scam in u.s. because they dont allow generics for inhalers. My steriod inhalers in u.s. is $300., canada drugs about $50.00. There are other sites out there, people need to find them. I havefound sites where inhalers come from India and Thailand. The meds are fine.
Hi Marian– Here’s a list of the best online pharmacies with the lowest drug prices that meet critical safety standards to protect patient health when buying medication online: https://www.pharmacychecker.com/online-pharmacy-ratings.asp
I live in NYS, cannot physically get prescription anymore by law.
The rules in New York (where e-prescribing became mandatory on March 27, 2016) provide exceptions to allow written prescriptions. One of these exceptions takes into consideration a paper prescription when the medication is “to be dispensed by a pharmacy located outside the state.” Therefore, in New York, if you intend to have your prescription filled out-of-state, a doctor can legally hand you a paper prescription.
I assume that all of the prescriptions held by Canada Drugs must be rewritten. If big pharma can claw the names and prescription drugs of US citizens, that’s game, set, match. I sent my first prescription to
Canada Drugs 20 years ago. Considering the need for discount drugs, this is disgusting and pure thievery.
I am soooooo upset. My hormone patches went thru the roof in the US. I pay $88 for a 3 month supply with Canada Drugs vs $150+ for 1 month in US. I have no idea where to go now.
Hi Elaine– Here is a list of verified online pharmacies with the lowest drug prices that meet critical safety standards to protect patient health when buying medication online: https://www.pharmacychecker.com/online-pharmacy-ratings.asp
Medixpharmacy.co.uk
This pharmacy sent me a flyer with my last order from Canada drugs saying they would be glad to continue filling orders after July 14th 2018
Does anyone know if the border patrol/customs seizes prescription medications at the border or if you have to declare meds that were purchased in Canada and picked up in person??
Hi Samuel– When you’re crossing the border, the U.S. Customs Border Patrol (CBP) is not allowed to stop the importation of FDA-approved medication from Canada for personal use – even though it’s technically prohibited. See: Public Law 115-31 https://www.congress.gov/bill/115th-congress/house-bill/244
Sad to hear. I have purchased medications from Canada Drugs over the years. They are ridiculously priced in US
I am so sorry to see our relationship with Canada Drugs end. I hope this doesn’t have too much of a financial impact on the company. They have been good to us.
Canada Drugs is the best ever. I need Vagifem 10MG that I pay $112. For 36 tablets. In the US I’m forced to pay $350. I wonder whose pockets are being lined. WE MUST KEEP CANADA DRUGS SHIPPING TO THE US. They are saving lives for people who can’t afford the US price gouging prices. PLEASE HELP KEEP CANADA DRUGS SHIPPING TO THE US
You can get compounded hormones from a naturopath for far less than Vagifem. I was shocked at the Vagifem cost when I filled one prescription! Compounded inserts similar to Vagifem run $30. Of course you need to pay for blood tests and the appt. There’s also an estradiol “tablet” sold on the large online shopping forum that everyone uses that is very reasonably priced.
Just got a letter stating that Drugmart (in Winnipeg) is taking over for CanadaDrugs. Are they also a verified member of the PharmacyChecker Verification Program? Are they the same/different company?
DrugMartDirect.com, owned by Coastal Health Group Inc., is a member of the PharmacyChecker Verification Program https://www.pharmacychecker.com/pharmacies/drugmartdirect.com/1208/. They are a different company than CanadaDrugs.
Lucia Mueller, what is your connection with https://www.pharmacychecker.com/pharmacies/drugmartdirect.com/1208/? You push this website so much that I suspect you have a vested interest!
Hi Jennifer! I apologize if it was unclear, but I write for this blog, PharmacyCheckerBlog.com, working as the Communications Manager at PharmacyChecker.com.
I received a letter from Medix Pharmacy asking for my business since Canada Drugs can’t ship to the US after July 18 but Medix was not on the pharmacy checker list. Is Medix reputable?
Hi Judith! Medix (the physical brick and mortar pharmacy) is verified by PharmacyChecker.com. However, the website is not, therefore we are not able to assess if the Medix website satisfies PharmacyChecker’s high standards of online pharmacy practice (https://www.pharmacychecker.com/sealprogram/choose.asp) at this time. Let me know if you have any further questions.
I also received a letter saying Medix has all my RX and records in their files and they were my pharmacy all along – the ones that fulfilled my rx. Has anyone else here used them?
How about this? I have Crohn’s disease for which I take Asacol (mesalamine 800mg) 6x/day. The cost from say Drugs.com is about $995 for 180 pills. From Canada Drugs it is (was) $190.
So I guess I’ll have to go pharmacy hunting. Thank you so much for your list of rated pharmacies. It is invaluable to people like me.
Hi George- We’re glad to tell you we have verified other pharmacies that offer Asacol: https://www.pharmacychecker.com/brand/price-comparison/asacol/800+mg/cpp/ Let us know if you need any assistance.
I ordered medication on July 1st. I was told it was shipped via Medix Pharmacy in the UK on July 3rd. I have been charged already and the website is gone and no one answers the 1-800 number.
I am told anything ordered before July 13th will be shipped.
What might the odds I will ever get my shipment here in the States?
I expected it 5 days ago.
You should be able to receive your order still.
Does anyone know how I can contact Canada Drugs? I placed a refill on a prescription prior to their closing. They notified me that it was filled and mailed prior to their shut-down date but I have not received it. I was charged for it but find that since their website was shut down I have no way of contacting them to get a refund or track down the shipment. I’m at a loss at to how to recover my money. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
It’s our understanding that you can reach the company at the toll free 1-800-226-3784 and speak to someone or leave a message with your question. Keep in mind that an international prescription order can take 21 days sometimes. Let us know if you have any further issues.
What’s gonna happened to the ordered I made on June 22Th and never received my order already paid and there’s no phone number to fallow up and answer my questions ?

HI I purchased my last order with Canada Drug and got a confirmation on June 26 th they said I would receive my order between July 7-13 th. I know that they were closing on the 13th. I had never had a problem with my order until this last order. Still have not received it. Left 4 messages and no one has call back. I also tried sending an e-mail which came back unable to deliver. Is there anyway to talk to someone who will follow up on my order? The message says someone will call you back. Still waiting.

On June 29th, I also got confirmation that my order had shipped and should be received between July 7th-13th. Left 2 messages and also tried to send an email…which failed. If I don’t hear from them soon, I’ll be mailing a certified letter….may be useless, though. Money down the drain. I really feel helpless!
I left a longer message below which has not appeared but today, August 3rd, I reached a representative at Canada Drugs and he said that if an earlier order from June did not reach me, he could not resend the medications but would reimburse me by check, which I asked him to do. I made an order on July 10th that has not arrived and will wait until August 7th to call again. Once again,if the order is not here by then, Canada Drugs will reimburse the full cost of the order. They are answering at that number 1-800-226-3784 as of today. The representative was very polite and professional.
I am having some problems sending the original prescription to Canada from the Philippines since its very expensive, but Canada drugs is allowing me to purchase with just a scanned copy of the prescriptions since we are long time customers. Do you have any recommendations of online pharmacies that would accept scanned copies or fax copies directly from the Philippines instead of mailing the original?
Hi Anna, Here’s a list of verified online pharmacies with the lowest drug prices that meet critical safety standards to protect patient health when buying medication online: https://www.pharmacychecker.com/online-pharmacy-ratings.asp You will have to consult the individual pharmacy as to their policy regarding prescriptions, but most will work with you and your doctor if you provide a valid prescription via fax, scan, email, etc.
Re: Canada Drugs Orders: I have not received my last 2 orders from Canada Drugs. Today,I called the phone number listed on my last order (1800-226-3784) and talked to a representative. I was told the latest orders (mine were placed June 29 and July 10th) are backed up but I should receive the July 10th order still by August 7th. Because they are assuming the June 29th order was lost in the mail, they will reimburse me by check. The representative was very nice and helpful. I will miss Canada Drugs. Their service has been reliable and efficient. Never a problem in the past.
I ordered a product through Canada Drugs for several years as I could not get it in Australia. I stopped about 4 years ago because it got switched to one I could buy here on the NHS. Since then I have been inundated with phone calls from Canada Drugs trying to sell me product. No matter how many times I tell them to take me off their list, the calls keep coming. Now perhaps, they will stop. I liked the prices and the products, just don’t like all the calls.
I had been ordering my prescriptions from canadadrugs.com since 2014 and stopped in 2017. Canada Drugs was a most trustable source to buy prescription drugs. But after some analysis on pharmacychecker.com, I found my prescription drug more affordable at another online pharmacy. It was https://Offshorecheapmeds.com I think they are the cheapest online pharmacy in pharmacychecker.
I appreciate Pharmacychecker for providing verified online pharmacies to buy prescription drugs at affordable prices.
30 days and have not received my order. Called Canada Drugs and they said they would issue a refund. I would be surprised if this happens. They also said they would email me a confirmation regarding my refund which has not happened
Same situation – got my refund next day. I am sorry to see them go.
did you ever receive your refund? still being told that a refund has been mailed as late as nov.22 have not seen it.
I too was shocked to see the Canada drug center website gone. I called 877 278-5344 from my last order and just placed a refill. 🙂 We shall see if it arrives in a few weeks. If not it looks like there are many other credible sites on pharmacychecker.com to obtain medicine from at great prices in comparison to US pharmacies.
So – How do I get my prescription transferred to another pharmacy – does the Canada Drug 800 number still work?
Hi Kathleen, I believe the number no longer works. Unfortunately, you’ll have to choose and contact a new pharmacy. We recommend sticking to only those on our list of verified online pharmacies: https://www.pharmacychecker.com/online-pharmacy-ratings/
I noticed that PharmacyChecker.com encourages its users to verify the legitimacy of the “Verification Program” seal when shown on a website. It’s easy to paste the seal onto a website. Harder to actually pass the verification process! When you click on a valid seal, it will link you to a profile page for that pharmacy on the PharmacyChecker website.
If you see anything else (such as “This Page Could Not Be Found”) the seal is NOT valid. Do your homework when researching online pharmacies.
I tested the seal on 2 online pharmacies, both showing the “PharmacyChecker.com Verification Seal”. One of them I found in the PharmacyChecker list of verified online pharmacies. When I went to their website and clicked on the seal, it correctly linked me to their profile on the PharmacyChecker.com website.
I then found another website that showed the same “Verification Seal” but was NOT listed on the PharmacyChecker list of verified online pharmacies. When I clicked on their “Verification Seal”, it still went to PharmacyChecker.com, but the page said “This Page Could Not Be Found”.
Why are they contacting me to order telling me it will now take up to 4 weeks to get my order delivered if they’ve been totally shut down? Just going to take peoples money and run?!
Hi Maria, Do the people that call have your order number and information? Do you have their contact information so we can investigate?
So, my question is this:
If they put Canada Drugs out of business…why aren’t the rest of these on line suppliers out of business?
This does not involve other online suppliers. The case was specific to a separate wholesale business conducted by the owners of the website, CanadaDrugs.com.
Incredible points. Sounnd arguments. Keep up the great effort.
When I called Canada Drug Centers old number – another company answered the phone and said my husband’s Rxs were transferred to them. Their website is http://www.canadianmedcenter.com. On their website they say they are CIPA certified but when I checked on the CIPA website, it said they aren’t listed. Do you know anything about this company?
Hi Clare, https://www.canadianmedcenter.com/ is not verified by PharmacyChecker.com. We strongly advise against ordering from sites that are not verified and continuously monitored by a credentialing group. Please see this list of PharmacyChecker-verified pharmacies: https://www.pharmacychecker.com/online-pharmacy-ratings/
I second Clare’s experience. Same situation where “CanadaMedStop.com” apparently now has my existing remaining prescriptions (I was with CanadaDrugStop.com), but CanadaMedStop.com is not listed on PharmacyChecker’s web site.
Lucia, thank you for answering all our questions (sometimes repeated questions!). Cheers.
I’m happy to help and clarify upon any confusion! I know it can be confusing. Have a wonderful weekend.
I was also notified that http://www.canadianmedcenter.com was now filling the patients of Canada drug Center. I placed an order about 3 weeks ago. It came from the same pharmacy in UK that i used to get it from. I think they are using the pharmacies. So i wouldn’t be worried about the medication. I also confirmed with CIPA that they have applied for membership.
CanadianMedCenter is not a CIPA member currently: https://www.cipa.com/check-online-pharmacy-real-fake-certified-rogue/ We recommend you only shop at online pharmacies that are credentialed.
I just checked the cipa website this morning and it showing that https://www.Canadianmedcenter.com is Cipa approved.
Just double-checked. That’s correct! https://www.cipa.com/check-online-pharmacy-real-fake-certified-rogue/
Do you know anything yet about CanadaMedStop.com – which, apparently, just bought CanadaDrugStop? Was there a problem with Canada Drug Stop (for me, they were always reliable; I ordered and received brand only meds).
Help!
Thank you.

Is there any update on the legitimacy of the ONLINE Medix Pharmacy in the UK? Any customer reviews within the last month or so?
Thank you!

We ordered the med Daliresp for my husband, (he has COPD and we can’t afford state-side prices even with insurance) from Canadianmedcenter.com and it was seized at the port of entry. I tried to get the FDA to release it but to no avail. We had already paid for the med. Canadianmedcenter said they would replace the med but later said there is a shortage of Daliresp and they are having trouble finding a source (which I find hard to believe.) They will not refund our money. The CIPA website lists them as a member so I thought they were legit. We’re wondering what we can do at this point.
Hi Clare –
I’m sorry to hear that the FDA has taken your husband’s medication. I will email you in a private message to inquire more about that process.
PharmacyChecker will intervene on behalf of consumers who make a complaint about a PharmacyChecker-accredited online pharmacy. The online pharmacy you mentioned is not accredited by PharmacyChecker. As I understand it, most accredited international online pharmacies will refund a customer if their medication is not received. You could try contacting CIPA to complain. http://www.cipa.com.
